Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has accused fellow actress Lizzy Anjorin of visiting a herbalist with her and her children’s names and allegedly placing curses on them.

In a video posted to Instagram on Friday, Iyabo refuted claims made by Lizzy that a ₦1 billion defamation lawsuit filed against her had been dismissed, clarifying that the case is still at the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) stage and has not entered trial.

“The ADR judge threw the case out because she had advised us to settle amicably,” Iyabo said, adding that Lizzy has continued to “drag” her and her family online.

Iyabo alleged that Lizzy influenced the case’s reassignment to a judge who was previously uncomfortable presiding over the matter. She also emphasized that no witnesses have been presented, and court proceedings haven’t begun.

The mother of two explained that her fallout with Lizzy stemmed from persistent defamatory accusations, not a personal relationship gone sour:

“You and I are not friends. You’ve accused me of so many things—voodoo, rituals, crimes. You curse my children, my man, and my son-in-law constantly.”

Iyabo further claimed Lizzy once told the court her grievance was not directly with her, but because Iyabo associated with people who bullied her online.

Fire Incident and Safety Concerns

This comes shortly after Iyabo Ojo’s office in Lekki was destroyed by fire, an incident which she subtly linked to ongoing hostility but did not directly blame anyone for. She expressed concern for her and her daughter’s safety, stating:

“If anything happens to me or my daughter, Lizzy Anjorin should be held responsible.”

The ongoing case, which began in 2023, centers on alleged defamation, cyberbullying, and public accusations Lizzy made online. Lizzy had recently celebrated what she described as a court victory, but Iyabo insists the case has not even started.
