Controversial Nollywood actor Lege Miami has claimed that CNN invited him for an interview with the intention of disgracing him publicly.
In a video posted on his Instagram page that has since gone viral, the actor — widely known for his struggles with spoken English — expressed suspicion over the motive behind the international media outlet’s invitation.
“I ran away. All Nigerians, guess what. CNN news invite me for an interview, I ran away,” he said in the video.
“They want to disgrace me, they want to embarrass me. I can’t speak good English oooo.”
Lege Miami, who is a vocal supporter of President Bola Tinubu and maintains a close relationship with Seyi Tinubu, has become a polarizing figure online, often trending for his dramatic skits and unusual manner of speaking.
His comments have sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some users mocking the situation while others commended him for his self-awareness.
Despite the backlash, Lege Miami continues to command a loyal fan base and maintains a significant presence in Nigeria’s entertainment and political discourse online.
