Nicki Minaj is not holding back this week. The rap queen has ignited fresh controversy after unleashing a fiery tirade against several industry heavyweights, including TDE President Terrence “Punch” Henderson, R&B star SZA, Jay-Z, and Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez.
The drama began on Tuesday, July 15, when Nicki Minaj took to social media to accuse Punch of bullying her and SZA of throwing subtle shade. In a no-holds-barred rant, she went in on the Snooze singer — criticizing her looks, voice, and career trajectory.
But Nicki Minaj didn’t stop there.
Later that night, the Barbie World hitmaker escalated things even further during a Stationhead livestream, setting her sights on Jay-Z. She accused the rap mogul of sabotaging her career from behind the scenes, claiming he’s been “stopping bags” due to jealousy.
“Why is it always the same story?” she asked, as reported by Live Bitez. “So that means Nas made all of that stuff up? DMX made it up? He had beef with 50, with Dame, Dipset… And how many female beefs has he allegedly been behind, too?”
She even went as far as accusing Jay-Z of artificially inflating his popularity online:
“55 with bots,” she mocked. “Too insecure, too crumpled up on the inside to face the real sh*t people gotta say about your a**.”
Adding more fuel to the fire, Nicki Minaj revived her long-standing feud with Desiree Perez, the CEO of Roc Nation. She suggested Perez may be linked to the recent “swatting” incidents at her home and referenced legal trouble involving Perez’s daughter, Demoree Hadley, who filed a lawsuit in May claiming she was wrongfully placed under psychiatric hold.
“Isn’t it odd that Desiree Perez’s own daughter is saying they made FALSE statements to get her into a mental facility?” Nicki questioned. “And they claimed her Black son-in-law was abusing her to get him falsely imprisoned? Does this not all sound familiar to what’s happening to ME?”
The explosive series of accusations has sent shockwaves across the industry, with fans and critics alike waiting to see how the accused will respond. For now, one thing is clear: Nicki Minaj is in no mood to play nice.
