Nollywood actress Priscilla Ojo has made a shocking revelation that her mother, Iyabo Ojo, received a threatening letter just weeks before a fire gutted her office in Lekki, Lagos.
Priscilla took to her Instagram Story on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, to share a copy of the threatening letter, which she described as not only a threat to life but also an attempt to sabotage her wedding celebration, tagged #JP2025, which recently took place in Tanzania.
The Threatening Letter
The disturbing letter, dated May 24, was typed and signed by an anonymous group calling themselves the “Aggrieved Group.” It included direct threats to both Iyabo and her daughter, Priscilla.
“You put someone in trouble and you out enjoying giving out your daughter in marriage abi? … We shall render that your Daughter married useless and rubbish it with scatter scatter,” part of the letter read.
The senders ominously warned that they would monitor Iyabo Ojo and act within three months.
Office Fire: A Possible Plan B?
Priscilla revealed that the threatening letter was delivered to her mother’s office—the same building that was engulfed in flames on the evening of July 8, 2025.
“Sadly, on the 24th of May, this letter was delivered to my mother’s office [the same one that was engulfed in fire yesterday],” she wrote.
“The unfortunate incident of yesterday… is their PLAN B as their plans to ruin JP2025 failed woefully!”
She explained that Iyabo was on her way to Tanzania for the wedding when the letter was delivered, so she didn’t see it until after the celebration.
Ongoing Investigations and Security Upgrades
Priscilla stated that efforts are underway to identify the person who delivered the letter. She hinted that CCTV footage could soon reveal the sender’s identity.
“We shall eventually detect the face of the delivery agent and show the public and the police at the right time, even though more CCTV has been mounted both in her office and at home.”
She also questioned the motive behind attacking a business her mother had run for eight years, calling the situation “deep” and “disturbing.”
“So much has been happening that I can’t even talk about here,” she added. “You can’t silence my mother with all of this threat and criminal acts.”
Iyabo Ojo Reacts After the Fire
Iyabo Ojo confirmed the fire incident via a video posted on her social media. According to her, the fire broke out around 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
“This just happened today… My office building caught fire… Thankfully, no lives were lost. The devil tested us today but God said no,” she wrote.
She expressed gratitude to her staff and firefighters who helped to control the situation and revealed that new CCTV cameras have since been installed for extra security.
A Message of Faith and Resilience
Despite the traumatic events, both Iyabo and Priscilla are choosing to stand firm.
“God is stronger than any evil, and time will surely tell,” Priscilla declared.
She ended her message with a positive note to her fans:
“Have a wonderful day, everyone.”
