Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has finally responded to long-running speculation that she has been deliberately hiding her husband from the public eye.
In a new interview on the Diary of a Naija Girl podcast, the 36-year-old actress and producer set the record straight, emphasizing that while she chooses not to flaunt her husband on social media, their relationship is far from hidden.
“You Just Don’t Know Him”
Kadiri, who got married in a private ceremony in 2019 to her husband Ezerika, explained that their decision to remain low-key has led many to assume she’s keeping him secret.
“Do you know that we go to church together, we go to events together… Most events I organise, my husband is there,” Ruth said.
“And if you go on his social media, you would only be seeing word of God, so he’s not even posting his own pictures.”
She further added:
“It’s just ‘cause you don’t know him… my life is not as private as people think, it’s just ‘cause you don’t know, so you now don’t know.”
A Private Love Life, a Public Career
Despite being one of Nollywood’s most active figures on social media, Ruth Kadiri has consistently kept her family life away from the public spotlight. Her Instagram posts often feature only glimpses of her husband — usually a hand, back view, or silhouette — sparking curiosity among fans.
Ruth and Ezerika welcomed their first daughter, Reign Ezerika, in August 2019, and their second child in July 2022.
