Deondre Burgin, the ex-boyfriend of actress Skai Jackson, has been arrested in connection with a violent carjacking incident that occurred in Cincinnati on June 21, 2025.
The 21-year-old was taken into custody by the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and Newport police on July 14 in Kentucky.
According to reports, Burgin is accused of aggravated robbery and pistol-whipping a male victim during the carjacking, which left the man hospitalized with significant facial injuries.
Authorities say Burgin and another suspect allegedly stole a 2018 Mercedes-Benz C300 and a Glock handgun from the victim during the assault.
An arrest warrant was issued for Burgin on June 30, and he waived extradition after being taken into custody. He was transferred to the Hamilton County Justice Center on July 17, where he is now being held pending further legal proceedings.
This arrest marks another serious allegation against Burgin, who was previously served with a domestic violence restraining order by Skai Jackson earlier this year.
In that case, Jackson alleged that Burgin physically assaulted her while she held their newborn son.
As the case unfolds, Burgin faces mounting legal trouble that could result in significant prison time if convicted. Authorities have not disclosed whether additional charges will be filed.
