Uriel Oputa Slams Nosy Nigerians

Former Big Brother Naija housemate and chef Uriel Oputa has issued a strong message to Nigerians, urging them to mind their business and stop prying into people’s personal lives.

In a recent Instagram Story post, the reality TV star addressed the increasing habit of individuals “tapping into” other people’s blessings without understanding the sacrifices behind their success.

“Don’t tap into what you don’t understand,” Uriel said. “You don’t know the sacrifice, the process, the pain, and the journey. Tap into your own blessing, work your own lane, stay focused on your path.”

Uriel went on to list several aspects of life that she believes are nobody’s business — emphasizing that people owe no one an explanation for how they choose to live.

“Let’s clarify something today,” she wrote. “There are certain things that are nobody’s business – and I mean nobody’s.”

Here’s Uriel’s full list of things that are “nobody’s business”:

  • How you make your money

  • When you’re giving birth

  • Who you give birth with

  • When you’re getting married

  • Who you’re dating

  • The age of your partner

  • Your divorce or why it happened

“Because, guess what? It’s your life, journey, and story – and you owe no one an explanation,” she added.

Uriel’s message has sparked mixed reactions online, with many applauding her for speaking boldly on societal pressures and double standards.
