Controversial social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman, has publicly admitted to feeling “foolish” after confronting music executive Jude Okoye over his past rift with singer Cynthia Morgan.
In a candid video shared online, Verydarkman recounted a recent encounter with Jude Okoye at an event, where they discussed the long-standing controversy involving Morgan’s royalties, stage name rights, and alleged label mistreatment.
According to the activist, Jude Okoye presented compelling evidence that contradicted Cynthia Morgan’s public claims. This included a 2016 video in which Morgan herself introduced her rebranded stage name, “Madrina,” debunking her allegation that Okoye had barred her from using her original name.
Verydarkman also revealed that Jude showed him financial documents indicating that Morgan’s total royalties since her rise to fame amounted to only $3,860, citing low revenue generation as the reason.
“Jude said everything he made from Cynthia Morgan’s music since her breakout was just $3,860. I was shocked,” Verydarkman shared.
He added that Jude Okoye claimed the contract between them was drafted by Cynthia’s manager and lawyer, not by him, and that he had simply signed off on their terms.
“I felt stupid after seeing all the proof,” Verydarkman admitted. “Cynthia Morgan really needs to come out and apologise. She dragged this man’s name for years and damaged his reputation.”
The activist, who had previously advocated for Morgan during her emotional 2020 outcry over alleged industry sabotage, now says he regrets taking sides without reviewing the facts.
Jude Okoye has maintained his innocence throughout the saga, insisting that he remains open to a professional audit of all records related to Cynthia Morgan’s career under his label, Northside Music Inc.
As of now, Cynthia Morgan—now known as Madrina—has yet to respond to Verydarkman’s statements or issue a public apology.
