Financial expert, Geh Geh, has stirred conversation online after explaining why upcoming artists struggle to gain fame even after featuring Grammy award-winning singer, Wizkid.
According to Geh Geh, while many believe that collaborating with Wizkid should be a breakthrough moment, the reverse often happens because of Wizkid’s overwhelming star power.
He noted that Wizkid’s global influence often overshadows the presence of lesser-known artists, leaving little room for them to gain recognition.
In his words:
“How many upcoming artists wey don feature Wizkid wey blow? People dey talk say if them feature Wizkid for song, the song no dey blow or the artist no dey blow. No be because Wizkid no get talent but because Wizkid glory too get talent. Wizkid glory dey outshine the upcoming artists. If you feature Wizkid for song, nobody go even know say you dey the song. Na Wizkid go carry all the glory…if you feature Wizkid for song you no go fit blow. Upcoming artist no suppose dey feature Wizkid for song. Nobody go know you, na Wizkid go carry all the glory.”
His remarks have since sparked mixed reactions among fans, with many debating whether featuring Wizkid is truly a blessing or a setback for emerging talents.
