Renowned Nigerian music video director, TG Omori, has revealed the staggering cost of his ongoing battle with kidney disease, expressing shock at how much he has spent on treatment in the past six months.
The award-winning cinematographer took to social media to share that his medical bills could have easily bought him two Mercedes-Benz GLE SUVs and a C300, underscoring the financial toll of his condition.
Reflecting on the harsh reality faced by everyday Nigerians, TG Omori highlighted the gap between the cost of dialysis and the country’s minimum wage, a reality that brought him to tears.
“Saw my 6 months health expenses, Omo 2 GLE and one small C300 bro! Health is wealth true true.
Dialysis is about 100k plus per session, sometimes you need 3 sessions in a week, minimum wage is 70k. Knowing this fact brought me tears in the hospital cause no hope for the common man,” he wrote.
In a bid to give back, TG Omori revealed he is working on his first major glasses design, with plans to donate part of the proceeds to support Nigerians living with kidney disease who cannot afford dialysis.
His openness has sparked widespread reactions online, with fans and well-wishers praising his resilience and philanthropy, while also reigniting conversations about the state of healthcare affordability in Nigeria.
