Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has presented a brand-new 2025 SUV Jeep to Dr. Yinka Ayefele, MON, Chairman of Fresh FM Nigeria.
The gesture was confirmed to journalists by Mayor Isaac Brown and the vehicle was formally handed over by state officials including Hon. Ademola Ijaya (Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters), Dr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju (Chief Press Secretary), and Mrs. Bosede Sodiq (Senior Special Assistant on Broadcast).
This comes in the wake of the devastating August 15 fire outbreak at Fresh FM 105.9 and Blast FM 98.3 in Ibadan. The blaze gutted parts of the stations’ facilities, including the newsroom, transmitter, server room, and critical broadcasting equipment, disrupting operations.
Governor Makinde’s donation is seen as a show of support for Ayefele, a respected broadcaster and music icon, as he works to restore full operations at the popular media outfit.
