The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has petitioned the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), urging a full investigation and potential prosecution of veteran Fuji star King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, over an incident aboard a ValueJet domestic flight.
According to the NCAA’s statement on Thursday, the incident occurred on Tuesday during a ValueJet flight VK201 and allegedly disrupted standard operational procedures while breaching aviation safety protocols.
Preliminary findings suggest that K1 De Ultimate’s actions may have contravened the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations (2023).
“We urge the AGF and IGP to launch a thorough investigation into the incident and initiate appropriate prosecution in line with all applicable laws,” the NCAA said.
Possible No-Fly List Placement
NCAA Director General Capt. Chris Najomo has also advised the Airline Operators of Nigeria to place K1 De Ultimate on a No-Fly List for all commercial flights pending the outcome of the investigation.
The authority stressed that the move is in line with global aviation best practices aimed at protecting passengers, crew, and aircraft operations.
Zero Tolerance for Safety Violations
“No individual, regardless of their public status, will be allowed to undermine the integrity of the aviation industry. Aviation safety and discipline are non-negotiable,” the NCAA added.
The petition signals the agency’s intent to set a precedent against any conduct capable of endangering lives or compromising flight operations.
