Nike has filed a lawsuit against CLOT founder Edison Chen and his store, Juice Los Angeles, claiming roughly $126,615 in unpaid goods and services.
Initial court records mistakenly listed the amount as over $126 million, a typo that quickly drew attention. The dispute comes less than two years after Chen ended his nearly two-decade collaboration with Nike in 2023, a partnership that produced classics like the Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death,” before signing with Adidas.
While the sum is modest for a brand of Nike’s size, the move signals a firmer stance on settling debts and maintaining accountability after partnerships end. The legal action effectively closes the chapter on one of streetwear’s most influential sneaker collaborations, underlining that even iconic creative relationships must end with clean business.
