Rasmus Højlund was left out of Manchester United’s matchday squad for their Premier League opener against Arsenal, fueling speculation about his future at Old Trafford.
According to The Athletic, manager Ruben Amorim opted to exclude the Danish forward following the arrival of Benjamin Šeško, who is set to lead the line this season.
United have reportedly informed Højlund that he faces limited opportunities for regular minutes, with the club open to offers. However, the 22-year-old insists he intends to fight for his place, despite transfer links with AC Milan.
The Red Devils have bolstered their attack with Šeško, Bryan Mbeumo, and Matheus Cunha, but concerns linger over their midfield balance and defensive resilience.
Arsenal, meanwhile, head into the campaign with major reinforcements, including Martin Zubimendi, Viktor Gyökeres, Noni Madueke, Christian Nørgaard, and Cristhian Mosquera, as they aim to mount another strong title challenge.
