Big Brother Naija alumna Uriel Oputa has clapped back at social commentator Solomon Buchi following his remarks about media personality Toke Makinwa’s pregnancy.
In a video posted online, Buchi congratulated Toke but criticized her for “spiritualizing” the situation, insisting that motherhood outside of marriage does not align with biblical standards. He argued that celebrating pregnancy before marriage is not befitting of a “Jesus girl.”
Uriel, however, took to Instagram to challenge his stance, stressing that Buchi has no right to judge Toke’s choices without understanding the struggles she may have endured before deciding to have a child.
She further questioned why men often feel entitled to weigh in on deeply personal issues that directly affect women, calling his commentary unnecessary and insensitive.
The exchange has since sparked mixed reactions online, with fans and followers taking sides on the ongoing debate surrounding motherhood, marriage, and societal expectations.
