Terry G Claims He Made Smoking Cannabis

Nigerian singer Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, has expressed his displeasure at being left out of Billboard’s recently released Top 50 ‘Best Afrobeats Songs of All-Time’ list.

The chart, curated by Billboard staff, crowned 2Face’s classic hit ‘African Queen’ as number one. Other notable entries included Timaya’s ‘Dem Mama’, Weird MC’s ‘Ijoya’, and Olu Maintain’s ‘Yahooze’.

However, Terry G’s popular tracks—such as ‘Akpako Master’, ‘Free Madness’, and ‘Run Mad’—were nowhere to be found.

Reacting to a post by music monitoring platform Chart Data announcing ‘African Queen’ as number one, he claimed he was unfairly excluded. He wrote: “TERRY G robbed.”

His reaction sparked mixed responses online. While some fans agreed that he deserved recognition on the list, others argued that none of his songs could realistically compete with ‘African Queen’ for the top spot.
