“Knowing me doesn’t entitle you to shortcuts” – Uriel Oputa Sends Strong Message on Respecting Professional Boundaries

BBN’s Uriel advises women to avoid having a sense of entitlement in relationships

Reality TV star and entrepreneur Uriel Oputa has taken to her Instagram Stories to issue a firm statement to those attempting to mix personal familiarity with professional requests.

She stated:

“I need to say this clearly. I’m really tired of people reaching out to me for business and then trying to wrap it in sentimentality—using friendship, familiarity, or the fact that we’ve known each other for years as a way to bypass professional boundaries.”

Uriel stressed that knowing her personally does not mean business dealings should be informal or unpaid.

“When you know me personally but choose to disregard me as a professional, especially when I hand you my rate card or business terms, that’s not okay. No serious businessperson should do that.”

She emphasized that it is highly disrespectful to approach her with such expectations, especially considering the years she has invested in building her brand.

“This isn’t a hobby—this is my career, my brand, and my livelihood.”

She concluded with a firm boundary:

“If you want to work with me professionally, do so with full respect. Do not ask for free favors. Respect the process.”
