Nollywood veteran and politician, Kenneth Okonkwo, has expressed strong confidence that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will secure victory in the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking during an interview on Sunrise Daily, a Channels Television programme, on Monday, Okonkwo predicted that the opposition party would not only form the next government but also end President Bola Tinubu’s tenure.
“In 2027, we stand a chance in every election in Nigeria, but I wouldn’t say the same thing for any election for which the primaries have been conducted before the coming into existence of David Mark leadership, because they were not part of the people that decided.
That is why I’m saying the true test of ADC will be in 2027. We are going to form the next government in Nigeria and send Tinubu to Bourdillon,” he said.
Addressing questions about the party’s structure, the ADC chieftain insisted that the party is firmly established across all 36 states. He also highlighted the role of former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, noting his influence in Rivers State and the South-South region.
“The ADC exists in the 36 states of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Rotimi Amaechi naturally is one of the prominent leaders of ADC in Rivers State and in the South-South. So, it will not be out of place if you say that he is the leader of the ADC in Rivers State,” Okonkwo added.
