Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo has finally addressed her ongoing rift with fellow actress Lizzy Anjorin, who has repeatedly directed curses, insults, and even death wishes at her family — particularly her grandson.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Iyabo admitted that while it has been difficult to remain silent, she has chosen to ignore Anjorin’s attacks for the sake of peace and because of her faith.
“Honestly, I haven’t laughed this hard in a while. These videos cracked me up real good. On a more serious note, I’ve seen all your messages, DMs, voice notes, and questions about my silent approach… Honestly, most times, I struggle to hold my peace… but I have to ignore the distractions. Who God has blessed, no one can curse,” she wrote.
Iyabo further revealed that her legal team is closely monitoring the defamatory statements and is preparing for the “battles ahead.”
She explained that in recent months, her priority had been family matters, including welcoming her grandson and supporting her daughter in her motherhood journey.
The actress, however, made it clear that once she returns to Lagos, she intends to take action.
“Silence can be powerful, and while it’s not always easy for me, I know it’s sometimes necessary,” she added. “My legal team isn’t sleeping. Everything has its timing.”
Iyabo concluded her post by thanking her fans for their concern and assuring them that she would keep them updated when the time is right.
