“Politics is local” – Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo Denies Rift With Ondo Governor Aiyedatiwa

Nigerian govt declares Tuesday, Wednesday public holidays for Eid-il-Fitr

Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has dismissed social media rumours suggesting he is at loggerheads with Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

Speaking during a medical outreach organised by the Grassroots Movement for Tinubu (GMT) in Ondo North Senatorial District, Tunji-Ojo described the speculations as unfounded.

The minister reiterated his commitment to supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, stressing that collaboration is key.

“Politics is local. My duty is to support any genuine group committed to promoting the good work of Mr President. There is no fight between me and the governor. What matters is that we work together to project the achievements of Asiwaju,” he said.

He further clarified that GMT is not an Ondo State-based group, but a nationwide movement known for its grassroots initiatives.
