Fans of Post Malone will have to wait a little longer to see him perform live in London, as his upcoming concerts at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium have been postponed due to planned strikes on the London Underground.
The U.S. star was originally set to hit the stage on 7 and 8 September, but promoter Live Nation confirmed via Instagram that the shows have now been moved to 20 and 21 September.
“We’re sorry to announce that due to planned strikes on the London Underground, we’ve been forced to reschedule the two Post Malone concerts… Without a Tube service, it’s impossible to get people to the concert and home again safely, and therefore no event licence can be granted for the nights of the 7th and 8th September,” the statement read.
The strikes are being organised by the Rail, Maritime and Transport Union (RMT), involving drivers, signallers and maintenance staff, who are demanding a 32-hour working week—three hours fewer than at present—alongside a pay rise.
Malone’s postponement follows a similar move by Coldplay, who were also forced to shift their Wembley Stadium dates earlier this week, citing the industrial action as making it “impossible” to hold shows on 7 and 8 September.
Post Malone is currently on the European leg of his Big A Stadium Tour, in support of his sixth studio album F-1 Trillion. The tour kicked off in Salt Lake City on 29 April and will now wrap up in London on 21 September.
