Trey Songz has reached a settlement in a lawsuit stemming from an alleged nightclub incident in Miami.
The case was first filed in 2021 by Jauhara Jeffries, who accused the R&B singer — real name Tremaine Neverson — of groping her during a New Year’s Eve party in 2018. In her complaint, Jeffries alleged the Slow Motion star assaulted her on the dance floor and claimed he non-consensually penetrated her with his fingers.
The 40-year-old artist denied all allegations.
According to court documents obtained by Billboard, the matter was resolved out of court just weeks before trial was set to begin. Judge Antonio Arzola confirmed the case’s dismissal in an order filed Wednesday, noting:
“This court has been advised that the matter has been settled as to all parties… The court reserves jurisdiction to enforce the settlement and to enter orders necessary to this enforcement.”
No details of the settlement were disclosed, and representatives for both parties declined to comment.
This isn’t the first time Trey Songz has faced such allegations. In 2022, he quietly settled another lawsuit brought by a woman who accused him of sexual assault at a 2016 party. He is also expected to stand trial in March 2026 over a separate case involving an alleged 2021 incident.
