R&B singer Trey Songz is addressing recent allegations of assault involving a photographer through his legal representatives.
The incident reportedly took place outside The Ivy nightclub, where videographer Armaan Mansoor claims he had been hired to film the artist’s performance.
According to Mansoor, after being asked to capture one last shot of Songz near the venue’s logo, the situation quickly turned violent.
He alleges that the singer punched him in the head, slammed him into a wall, and damaged two of his cameras.
While Trey Songz has not made any direct public statement regarding the incident, his attorney, Ted Anastasiou, has spoken out on his behalf.
“The media is unfairly turning an unfinished story into clickbait to sell a new headline,” said Anastasiou. “Trey disputes the characterization of events, is cooperating fully with authorities, and looks forward to the facts, not speculation, speaking for themselves.”
Anastasiou further hinted that the incident may have been triggered by aggressive paparazzi behavior, noting that some members of the media had overstepped personal boundaries.
Despite the seriousness of the allegations, Songz maintains his cooperation with law enforcement as the investigation unfolds.
This isn’t the first time the singer has faced legal scrutiny, but his legal team appears confident that the truth will ultimately clear his name.
