Former BBNaija star and chef, Uriel Oputa, has expressed her displeasure at Nigerians who are allegedly turning Phyna’s sister’s passing into social media content.
Taking to her Instagram page, Uriel condemned the act, describing it as disgraceful and insensitive. She warned content creators not to exploit Phyna’s name or her sister’s death for clout, stressing that grief should be respected.
In her words:
“If I see anyone using Phyna’s sister or Phyna’s name to chase clout or create content, I will call you out publicly without shame. Let her mourn her sister in peace. Not everything is a joke until it happens to you.”
She further criticized the lack of originality among many Nigerian creators, accusing them of being repetitive and insensitive in their quest for engagement.
Fellow reality star Uriel Musicstar also weighed in, urging Nigerians to allow Phyna and her family to grieve privately.
“Leave her alone, let her mourn in peace. She has lawyers. Somebody’s life is not Nollywood. You people deserve Nigeria. Absolute circus.”
The reality TV community and fans have since rallied around Phyna, sending prayers and condolences while condemning the exploitation of her personal loss.
