Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governors’ Forum and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, has declared that the APC remains “the only party in Nigeria.”
Uzodinma made this assertion on Friday during a meeting of APC stakeholders in Birnin Kebbi, the Kebbi State capital, where he reaffirmed his confidence in the party’s leadership and the reform agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to the governor, Nigeria is on a clear path to renewed prosperity under President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, with the positive impact of the administration’s reforms already being felt nationwide.
“With President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, Nigeria is gradually becoming rich and prosperous again,” Uzodinma said. “The reforms are geared towards reconstructing, rehabilitating, and rebuilding a new Nigeria that works for everyone.”
Uzodinma praised the President’s bold decision to remove fuel subsidy, describing it as a move that has significantly increased revenue available to the federal, state, and local governments.
Uzodinma also commended the administration’s youth empowerment initiative, which seeks to empower 1,000 young people from each of the country’s 8,809 electoral wards, calling it a sustainable step toward poverty eradication and inclusive growth.
The governor expressed satisfaction with the strong turnout at the meeting, particularly noting the presence of prominent Kebbi politicians such as Senators Adamu Aliero and Atiku Bagudu. He said their participation demonstrated unity and political maturity within the state’s APC chapter.
“What we are witnessing here in Kebbi is a sign of progress, understanding, and maturity within our great party,” Uzodinma said.
The meeting, which brought together APC leaders and stakeholders from across Kebbi State, focused on strengthening party structures and ensuring continued support for the Tinubu-led administration’s reform policies.
