Napoli midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has dismissed speculation of a fallout with manager Antonio Conte, insisting there are “zero problems” between them.
The Belgian had reacted angrily after being substituted in last weekend’s 2-0 Serie A defeat to AC Milan, sparking suggestions of tension. Since joining Napoli on a free transfer in the summer, De Bruyne has been subbed off in four of his six appearances. Conte later warned that he was “the wrong person to pick a fight with.”
However, De Bruyne silenced doubts with a standout performance, providing two assists for Rasmus Hojlund in Napoli’s latest match.
When asked about the supposed rift, the playmaker made his stance clear:
“I have no issues or problems with Antonio Conte, at all. I’m a winner and I want to make the difference on the pitch, but there are zero problems with the coach.”
