Layal Tinubu, wife of Seyi Tinubu, the son of Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has opened up about how she met her husband.
In a recent video broadcast marking Seyi Tinubu’s 40th birthday, Layal revealed that their love story began on Facebook.
According to her, it wasn’t a typical romantic pickup line that drew her in, but rather Seyi’s confidence and composure.
“We met on Facebook. I wouldn’t really say there was a pickup line per se. But it was more of how he carried himself that drew me to him. He was confident yet easy-going. And he has this opulent charm like he didn’t really need to try,” she said.
Layal Tinubu, born to a Nigerian father and Lebanese mother, is a lawyer and entrepreneur. She earned her law degree from the University of Reading, United Kingdom, and later obtained a Master’s in Entrepreneurship and Business Management from the University of Surrey.
She is also the founder of Tots Toys, an educational toy company that focuses on early childhood learning and child development.
Layal and Seyi Tinubu got married in 2016 and have two children together.
Seyi Tinubu, on the other hand, is the co-founder of Loatsad Promomedia, a leading outdoor advertising company based in Lagos. He is also actively involved in several youth empowerment and philanthropic initiatives across Nigeria.
