Rapper Nicki Minaj is at risk of losing her $20 million Hidden Hills mansion in Los Angeles after allegedly failing to pay a court-ordered debt tied to a 2019 assault lawsuit involving her husband, Kenneth Petty.
According to court documents filed in October 2025, Minaj and Petty were ordered to pay $503,318 to Thomas Weidenmüller, a former security chief who sued the couple over a violent altercation that took place during Minaj’s Nicki Wrld Tour in Germany.
Weidenmüller accused Petty of punching him backstage, breaking his jaw and forcing him to undergo eight surgeries to repair the injury, which included the insertion of five plates. The incident reportedly occurred after Minaj allegedly threw a shoe at another guard who failed to prevent a fan from storming the stage.
Despite the default judgment entered earlier this year, Minaj and Petty have yet to pay the amount owed. As a result, Weidenmüller’s legal team has filed a petition to force the sale of the rapper’s mansion to recover the debt.
Court filings show that Minaj’s Hidden Hills property—an 11-bedroom estate valued at around $20 million—has an existing mortgage of approximately $13 million. After deductions for the mortgage and homestead exemption, the remaining $6 million in equity would be more than enough to satisfy the outstanding judgment, including interest and legal costs.
“The property’s fair market value is appraised at $20 million, yielding approximately $6 million in equity beyond the lien and exemption. That amount is more than sufficient to satisfy the judgment,” the filing reads.
Despite repeated attempts by Weidenmüller’s attorneys to collect payment, including written demands and levy notices, Minaj reportedly has not responded or settled the debt.
The Grammy-nominated rapper, whose net worth is estimated between $150 million and $190 million, has yet to publicly comment on the legal battle.
