Nollywood actor Ibrahim Yekini, popularly known as Itele, was visibly moved after receiving a heartfelt surprise from his protégé, Kemity, and her film students ahead of his birthday.
The actor, who is set to mark a new age on Thursday, was presented with a brand-new television in a surprise gesture organised by Kemity and students of Kemity School of Performing Film Arts.
In a video shared on his Instagram page, the crew was seen presenting the gift, leaving Itele momentarily speechless. Reacting to the surprise, the actor noted that it was not yet his birthday but expressed deep gratitude for the thoughtful gesture.
Itele described the moment as emotionally touching, stating that being appreciated by someone he once mentored, as well as by the next generation he helped inspire, is a rare and priceless blessing.
“It’s not my birthday yet, still Jan 1st, but my ex-student, my daughter, my first fruit in the industry @kemity and her own students decided to surprise me with this beautiful TV. This touched my heart deeply,” he wrote.
The actor thanked Kemity and her students for the love and appreciation, adding that he was truly grateful for the meaningful gift.
