Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has publicly accused his father, Mr. Olalomi, of taking his clothes and other personal items.
The Zazu crooner made the allegations in a video shared online, where he compared his father to the late singer Mohbad’s father. Portable claimed that his father has consistently targeted his possessions and properties, a situation he believes has negatively impacted his life.
According to the singer, his life was more balanced and stable during the period his father was absent. He alleged that his father did not play any role in his upbringing, stating that he neither sponsored his education nor supported him financially when he was learning tailoring.
Expressing his grievances, Portable said, “My dad’s presence in my life is doing me more harm than good. My life was better and more stable when he wasn’t in the picture.
“When I was younger, he didn’t take care of me. He did not send me to school. He did not pay for my tailoring apprenticeship fee.
“His presence is affecting my life negatively. My dad is like Mohbad’s dad. He has taken all my shoes and clothes and he is just after my properties.”
The video has since sparked reactions online, with many social media users weighing in on the strained relationship between the singer and his father.
