Qdot Speaks on Trauma After Lagos Home Robbery, Says He Still Can’t Sleep

Nigerian singer Qudus Oluwadamilare, popularly known as Qdot, has opened up about the lingering trauma he continues to battle months after a robbery at his Lagos residence.

In an emotional post shared on his Instagram page on Tuesday, the Alomo Meta crooner revealed that the incident, which occurred on September 28, has left him deeply shaken and unable to sleep properly.

“28th of September has passed, but I am still not myself.
The trauma is still alive in me. Every night, at exactly 2:30 a.m., the same time the attack happened, I wake up in fear,” Qdot wrote.

He explained that sleep has eluded him since the incident, adding that he constantly lives in fear and anxiety.

“My heart is never at rest. I am scared all the time, and it feels like those people are coming back again. I pray this painful and terrifying experience will finally release my mind. I pray for peace. I pray for healing,” he added.

Qdot also called on the government and security agencies to intensify efforts to tackle insecurity, noting that his ordeal would only truly end if concrete action is taken.

Reports indicate that the singer was attacked in the early hours of September 28 when armed men allegedly stormed his Lagos home around 2 a.m. Qdot and his official DJ were said to have been held at gunpoint during the robbery.

The attackers reportedly carted away phones, laptops and other valuables, while there were also claims that some of the singer’s bank accounts and social media platforms were compromised after the incident.

Qdot had earlier described the robbery as one of the most frightening experiences of his life, admitting that he was unsure he would survive the attack. He later expressed gratitude to friends, family and fans for their support and prayers.

Qdot is best known for hit songs such as Gbese and Alomo Meta and is the founder of the Yoruba Boi Music label.
