Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has criticized Christian leaders in the country over what he described as their silence following reports of attacks on worshippers in Jos.
His reaction comes amid renewed outrage over a reported Palm Sunday attack in Plateau State, which has intensified conversations around insecurity and claims of targeted violence against Christians, allegations the Federal Government has previously denied.
In a video shared online, the “Zazu” crooner accused pastors of failing to speak out or take visible action despite the situation.
“Why are Nigerian pastors not fighting for Christians? They use bullet proof cars yet their followers are d¥!ng. Why can’t pastors lead protest to the aso rock? You can’t h@rm a Muslim and there won’t be chaos.”

He described what he sees as a disconnect between church leadership and followers, alleging that while some pastors invest in personal protection, they have not publicly advocated for their members.
Portable also questioned why religious leaders have not organized protests or taken stronger positions, suggesting that other religious groups might respond differently under similar circumstances.
Speaking in a mix of Yoruba and pidgin, he expressed frustration over what he perceives as inaction, arguing that the response from Christian leadership has not matched the gravity of the situation.
His comments have added to the ongoing national conversation around security, religious leadership, and the role of influential voices in addressing societal challenges.
