Ogun: DSS arrest council leader for accusing Dapo Abiodun of LG funds embezzlement

"I am not an emperor by any chance and this is not my family inheritance" - Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun reacts to Tinubu’s outburst against him

Wale Adedayo, the embattled chairman of Ijebu-East Local Government Area of Ogun State is currently in the custody of the Department of State Security (DSS), in Abeokuta.

The chairman earlier accused Governor Dapo Abiodun of diverting funds meant for local government and that the third tier of governments in the state have not received their legal allocation in two years.

The governor had since denied the allegation, noting that his government has always handed over to local government chairmen what is rightfully theirs.

However, Adedayo was summoned by the DSS following the allegations against the governor.

He confirmed to newsmen earlier on Friday that he was at the office of the security agency in Oke-Mosan.

One of his aides, who pleaded not to be named due to security reasons, told journalists that his principal was still with the DSS as at 9pm.

According to him, he had accompanied Adedayo to the entrance of the DSS office, during the day, but he was yet to be released as of 9pm.
