‘I’m godfather of Nigerian music industry’ – Burna Boy

Burna Boy Drags Western Media, begs Nigerian Bloggers

Grammy-winning singer Damini Ogulu, also known as Burna Boy, has once again reignited the debate on who is the biggest artist in Nigeria.

In a bold move on the remix of the popular South African song ‘Tshwala Bam’ by TitoM and Yuppe, Burna Boy proclaimed himself as the godfather of the Nigerian music industry.

“As long as Naija la wa…Them they call me the Godfather,” he sings.

This declaration comes after years of him asserting his leadership in the music scene.

His fellow artist Davido has also claimed the title of the godfather of the Nigerian music industry on a track titled ‘Godfather’ in his album ‘Timeless’.
