Southampton secured a 1-0 victory over Leeds United in the Championship playoff final on Sunday, earning promotion to the Premier League.
Adam Armstrong’s cool finish in the first half sealed the win for the Saints. Rebounding from relegation last season,
Southampton now joins Leicester City and Ipswich Town in moving up to the top flight.
The promotion will result in a revenue increase of £140 million over three seasons for the club, with the potential to reach over £305 million if they can stay clear of relegation in their first Premier League campaign, according to Deloitte.
