Anthony Martial of Manchester United has declared his departure from the club.
Anthony Martial took to Instagram on Monday to share a detailed statement, expressing his readiness to embark on a new chapter in his career.
The French player will be leaving as a free agent, as his contract with the club expires at the end of the current season.
“Dear Manchester United fans, It’s with great emotion that I write to you today to say goodbye,” Martial’s statement partly read.
“After nine incredible years at the club, the time has come for me to turn a new page in my career.”
The player faced challenges in getting playing time under coach Erik ten Hag this season, appearing in only 19 matches and scoring two goals with one assist in all competitions.
