Senator Adams Oshiomhole has urged Nigerians to remain patient with President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Adams Oshiomhole made this statement during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics.
The call for patience comes in the wake of the National Bureau of Statistics reporting inflation figures hitting 34.19 per cent in June 2024.
The surge in living costs was attributed to the floating of the naira and the removal of fuel subsidy by the current government.
Despite these challenges, Oshiomhole, a former governor now representing Edo North in the Senate, remains hopeful that Tinubu’s policies will eventually bear fruit and urged the public to trust in the process.
“You have to agree that some of the policy initiatives will require more than a year to materialise.
“What would the president gain by resorting to policy choices that are unlikely to deliver comfort in the long run?”
“So, I think for me, it is about having faith that in the long run, these things will work out,” he said.
