Wizkid, the Grammy-winning Afrobeats artist, revealed that if he hadn’t pursued a career in music, he would have chosen football as his alternate career.
The Nigerian superstar expressed his love for the sport and appreciation for the dedication needed to excel in it.
Having played for his school’s football team, Wizkid admitted that his lack of patience and aversion to early morning training sessions steered him towards music instead.
“If I wasn’t doing music, I would be playing football, I play football real good, I used to be in my school team”, he said.
He, however, said that his respect for the sport and its demands remains strong.
Wizkid also shared his unconventional approach to security, opting not to travel with bodyguards and instead relying on his tight-knit management team, whom he considers family.
