Antonela Roccuzzo, the spouse of Lionel Messi, has articulated her thoughts regarding the “most significant surprise” that has transpired since her husband’s transition to Inter Miami.
Messi transitioned from European football to pursue his professional career within Major League Soccer (MLS) during the summer of the year 2023.
Upon his arrival, the captain of the Argentine national team has exhibited a profound influence both on the pitch and in the broader context of the United States.
Messi has augmented his already impressive trophy haul with Inter Miami by acquiring two additional titles – the Leagues Cup and the Supporters’ Shield – while the prospect of achieving MLS Cup success now looms ahead.
Conversely, away from the competitive arena, his family is relishing the temperate climate characteristic of Miami.
Antonela has told Haute Living: “What I love the most about Miami is the climate, the people, and the landscape. All this makes you feel like you’re living in perpetual summer.
“The biggest surprise for us was the warm welcome we received when we arrived. We knew it would be special, but it exceeded all our expectations.
“It has actually been very easy [adapting to life in Miami], and we’re all happy about it. Our main concern was that the kids might not like it or adjust well, but from day one, they adapted very well.”
