Nigerian music sensation Wizkid, also known as Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, recently discussed his early days in the music industry and how his success has influenced emerging artists.
In a throwback interview, Wizkid reflected on artists eagerly waiting outside his home for a chance to work with him.
As a global music icon since 2010, Wizkid has mentored and supported various artists including Duncan Mighty, Starboy Terri, and L.A.X. He has collaborated with numerous musicians such as Tiwa Savage, Seyi Shay, Olamide, and Naira Marley, solidifying his position in the entertainment industry.
Speaking further in the interview, Big Wiz revealed that he has helped many people reach the top of their careers, but they often forget his contributions.
He also recounted how he gave a 10% discount to a female singer, who reached out to him for collaboration.
In his words, “That’s how it is, people forget, then they come to your house sleeping in front of my gate 24/7, begging for collaboration and after you give all they want, they just bounce and that’s life.
