50 Cent has criticized Jay-Z for going to the Mufasa: The Lion King premiere just a couple of days after facing accusations of rape.
Jay-Z, 55, was seen on the red carpet of the event alongside his wife, Beyonce, and their daughter Blue Ivy Carter, 12, who both have roles in the film.
50 Cent shared a photo of the family, captioning the post, “Jay said they said I rapped (sic) a kid, everybody get dressed we going to see Mufasa LOL.”
The Instagram post calling out Jay-Z has since been taken down. Beyonce voices Nala in the movie, while Blue Ivy provides the voice for lioness cub, Kara.
Tina Knowles, Beyonce’s mom, was also present at the premiere. Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, was recently named in a lawsuit accusing him of raping a 13-year-old girl back in 2000, along with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, at an MTV afterparty.
In a statement, he said, “I’m a young man who made it out of the project of Brooklyn. We don’t play these types of games. We have very strict codes and honour. We protect children, you seem to exploit people for personal gain. Only your network of conspiracy theorists, fake physics, will believe the idiotic claims you have levied against me that, if not for the seriousness surrounding harm to kids, would be laughable.”
