Elon Musk, the tech billionaire, has officially changed his name to Kekius Maximus on X without providing an explanation for the decision.
Musk, who is the owner of X, has been the subject of scrutiny for his influence before and after President-elect Donald Trump’s election victory.
Despite openly supporting Trump and financially backing a Political Action Committee that supported him, Elon Musk’s name change has sparked speculation about his political intentions.
“And no, he’s not taking the presidency. He’s not going to be president, that I can tell you. You know why he can’t be? He wasn’t born in this country,” Mr Trump stressed.
The former President further slammed his political opponents for pushing the narrative, describing the speculations as a “hoax.”
