Rashford: ‘I won’t put a player I don’t think is best for the team’ – Amorim

Rashford and Zirkzee Shine as Amorim Secures First EPL Win, Man United Thrash Everton 4-0

Ruben Amorim, the manager of Manchester United, has firmly stated that Marcus Rashford will not be playing under any circumstances.

Despite missing out on selection in the matchday squad, Rashford did not feature as United suffered a 3-1 defeat to Brighton in the Premier League on Sunday.

There are ongoing rumors regarding Rashford’s potential departure from Old Trafford at the age of 27.

It is believed that Rashford might seek a move to a foreign club in January.

Despite the team’s poor performance, Amorim is resolute in his decision to keep Rashford on the bench.

When asked after the Brighton loss if he might consider recalling Rashford, the United boss replied:

“It is his choice [not to play]. I don’t want to focus on this bad moment because, in the games we lost, Rashford is not here.

“I don’t want to put this moment on Rashford. Rashford is out of this moment because he is not playing.

“No matter what, I am not going to put out a player I don’t believe is the best for the team.”
