Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa has shared her emotional journey to motherhood, revealing how she once gave God an ultimatum during her struggles with infertility.
In an interview with colleague Debbie Shokoya, the 41-year-old actress recalled a moment of deep despair when she cried out to God in frustration before her domestic staff.
Her Breaking Point
Dayo revealed she had undergone multiple medical checkups and surgeries while trying to conceive.
She suffered three miscarriages, which took an emotional toll and pushed her to the edge.
At her lowest point, she told God, “Either you take my life at this moment or fulfill that promise you made to me.”
Adding to her pain, Dayo recounted how her ex-husband abandoned her during her battle with infertility and went on to impregnate another woman.
A Miracle Baby After Years of Waiting
In November 2024, her prayers were answered with the birth of her son, Oluwafirewamiri, whom she described as her greatest treasure.
Following his naming ceremony, she clapped back at critics questioning her child’s paternity, asking, “Is your own husband missing?”
Embracing Motherhood with Joy
Before Christmas, Dayo reflected on her past mistakes but stated that having her son was the one thing she got right.
On Christmas Day, she shared adorable matching outfits with her baby, calling him her greatest gift and complete blessing.
She also prayed for strength and guidance for herself and her child’s father, hoping they would serve as good role models for their son.
