Minister of Power Pledges Stable Electricity Supply Throughout Ramadan

The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has assured Nigerians of stable electricity during the holy month of Ramadan, recognizing the increased energy demands for Suhoor, Iftar, and Taraweeh prayers.

In a statement, Adelabu acknowledged the challenges of the country’s power supply and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring reliable electricity throughout Ramadan and beyond.

“As the Minister of Power, I understand the importance of stable electricity, especially during Ramadan when energy consumption is higher. The Federal Ministry of Power is working tirelessly to ensure a reliable power supply during this period and beyond,” he stated.

Commitment to Power Infrastructure

Adelabu emphasized ongoing efforts to upgrade power infrastructure, address grid instability, and expand electricity access across the nation.

“Our goal is to ensure that every household can observe Ramadan with comfort and dignity. We are committed to strengthening the power sector and tackling existing challenges,” he stressed.

Call for Responsible Electricity Use

The minister also urged Nigerians to conserve energy by adopting simple habits like switching off unused lights, using energy-efficient appliances, and unplugging devices when not in use.

“Small actions can go a long way in reducing energy consumption and easing the burden on the national grid,” he advised.

Ramadan: A Time for Unity and Charity

Beyond power supply, Adelabu described Ramadan as a period of spiritual growth, charity, and national unity. He called on Nigerians to embrace peace, tolerance, and goodwill during fasting.
