Serie A: Atlanta Head Coach, Gasperini and Ademola Lookman settle rift

Gasperini

Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini has put to rest any remaining tension with Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman following the player’s goal and substitution in a 4-0 victory over Juventus.

Lookman, who had previously clashed with Gasperini over a missed penalty in the Champions League, played a key role in the historic win at the Allianz Stadium.

Scoring the fourth goal in the 77th minute before being substituted three minutes later, Lookman and Gasperini were seen exchanging words on the touchline.

The conversation ended with a warm embrace, reportedly resolving any issues between them.

According to reports, the Atalanta boss said: “Can I give you a hug? Can you give me a nice smile?”

Lookman’s recent stellar performance has been vital for Atalanta, with the player boasting 25 goal contributions (18 goals, 7 assists) in 31 matches this season.

The win against Juventus marked Atalanta’s largest victory at the Allianz Stadium and Juventus’ biggest home defeat.
