“No Bitterness, They Deserved It” – Mbappé Reacts to PSG’s Champions League Triumph

Ancelotti Shares Update on Mbappé’s Injury Following Real Madrid’s Victory Over Atalanta

France captain Kylian Mbappé has expressed joy, not resentment, over his former club Paris Saint-Germain winning the UEFA Champions League — just a year after his high-profile move to Real Madrid.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of France’s UEFA Nations League third-place clash with Germany in Stuttgart, Mbappé said he had no regrets about his decision to leave PSG.

“I didn’t leave too soon; my story with PSG was over. I am not bitter; I had reached the end of the road,” the 25-year-old said.

His comments come in the wake of PSG’s historic 5-0 demolition of Inter Milan in the Champions League final in Munich — the club’s first-ever triumph in the competition.

“I tried everything, and it was destiny that meant it had to happen without me,” he added. “PSG winning the Champions League without me doesn’t affect me. I was happy. I think they deserved it.”

Mbappé, who spent seven seasons at PSG and played in every stage of the Champions League with the club except a final victory, praised the team’s growth and dominance.

“They’re the best team in Europe. I don’t remember seeing a team win 5-0 in a major final.”

While many speculated that PSG’s victory so soon after his departure might sting, Mbappé’s response reflected maturity and deep respect for his former teammates.
