Tyler Perry is facing a massive $260 million lawsuit filed by actor Derek Dixon, who accuses the media mogul of sexual harassment, assault, and retaliation.
Filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, the suit claims Perry made unwanted sexual advances under the guise of career promises—allegedly offering Dixon roles and production deals on shows like The Oval and Ruthless.
Dixon alleges the misconduct began in 2019, including incidents in Perry’s trailer and during a Bahamas retreat.
He says his refusal led to being written off The Oval, causing emotional distress and financial loss. The actor claims he now suffers from PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
Perry has strongly denied all allegations. His attorney called the claims “fabricated” and labeled the lawsuit as an extortion attempt. Dixon is seeking a jury trial and major compensatory and punitive damages.
The case is ongoing.
