Manchester United have officially secured the signing of Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo in a deal worth £70 million, including add-ons.
The Red Devils reached an agreement with Brentford earlier this week, giving the green light for the transfer after weeks of negotiations.
According to reports by The Athletic, Mbeumo had already agreed personal terms with United weeks ago, having made it clear that Old Trafford was his preferred destination.
The 25-year-old winger enjoyed a stellar 2024/25 Premier League season, registering 20 goals and 7 assists, which placed him among the most productive attackers in the league.
Mbeumo becomes the second major signing of the summer for Manchester United following the capture of Matheus Cunha, as new manager Rúben Amorim looks to strengthen the squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The Cameroonian international is expected to undergo his medical in the coming days and will join United’s pre-season tour of the United States, where he could make his unofficial debut in the Summer Series.
This transfer marks a significant move for both clubs, with Brentford losing a key player and United continuing their aggressive summer rebuild.
