Cassie Returns to Social Media Months After Testifying in Diddy Trial and Welcoming Baby Boy

It has been an emotional and challenging period for singer Cassie. In November 2023, she filed a lawsuit against Diddy, accusing him of abuse throughout their decade-long on-and-off relationship. The case was settled within a day, but earlier this year she was called to relive those experiences when testifying during his federal trial.

After nearly two months of proceedings and multiple testimonies, the court found Diddy not guilty of sex trafficking and racketeering. However, he was found guilty of transportation for prostitution and faces a possible 20-year sentence. His sentencing is scheduled for October 3.

Adding to the strain, Cassie testified while nine months pregnant. Thankfully, she welcomed a healthy baby boy in May, with her husband Alex Fine by her side.

In a heartfelt statement issued through her attorney, Douglas Wigdor, after her testimony, Cassie expressed gratitude and requested privacy.

“I want to thank my family and my advocates for their unwavering support, and I’m grateful for all the kindness and encouragement that I have received,” she said in part.

“I’m glad to put this chapter of my life to rest. As I turn to focus on the conclusion of my pregnancy, I ask for privacy for me and for my growing family.”

Since then, Cassie has kept a low profile — until August 7, when she made her first social media post since the trial and the birth of her son.

Sharing a lighthearted video on her Instagram Story from momswithplans, the clip showed a man dancing in front of a crowd with the caption: “When your old self slowly starts coming out postpartum.” Cassie related to the sentiment, adding her own comment: “Factual. Little by little. lol.”
